Crop circle' in Indonesian rice paddy

Thousands of curious onlookers are flocking to central Indonesia to look at a "crop circle" in a rice field following rumors it was formed by a UFO.
Though clearly sculptured by humans - it looks like an intricately designed flower - the 70-yard-wide (70-meter-wide) circle has drawn so much attention that police have blocked off the area with yellow tape.
Villagers have started charging entrance fees.
Guntur Purwanto, chief of Jogotirto village in Sleman district, said the circle appeared in the middle of the green rice paddies over the weekend.
Among those turning out Tuesday and offering opinions were officials from Indonesia's space agency, well-respected astronomers and nuclear agency officials. All agree it was not left by an UFO.

14-year-old boy dies of exposure in Kipnuk

A 14-year-old boy in Kipnuk died of exposure while walking home from a friend's house on Sunday, according to Alaska State Troopers. The temperature was reportedly 50 below zero, with winds up to 70 mph.
Troopers said a search was initiated after Brandon Anaver failed to turn up at his home.  The search team was able to find Anaver's footprints, but could not follow them because of blowing snow.
The searchers also used VHF radio and conducted home-to-home inspections until the deteriorating conditions forced searchers to call off the search for the night.
On Monday, Anaver's body was found 1.5 miles downriver. Troopers said it appears Anaver died from exposure to the extreme elements.

What's Gout?

Gout is a disease that results from an overload of uric acid in the body. This overload of uric acid leads to the formation of tiny crystals of urate that deposit in tissues of the body, especially the joints. When crystals form in the joints it causes recurring attacks of joint inflammation (arthritis). Chronic gout can also lead to deposits of hard lumps of uric acid in and around the joints and may cause joint destruction, decreased kidney function, and kidney stones.
Gout has the unique distinction of being one of the most frequently recorded medical illnesses throughout history. It is often related to an inherited abnormality in the body's ability to process uric acid. Uric acid is a breakdown product of purines that are part of many foods we eat. An abnormality in handling uric acid can cause attacks of painful arthritis (gout attack), kidney stones, and blockage of the kidney-filtering tubules with uric acid crystals, leading to kidney failure. On the other hand, some people may only develop elevated blood uric acid levels (hyperuricemia) without having arthritis or kidney problems. The term gout refers the disease that is caused by an overload of uric acid in the body, resulting in painful arthritic attacks and deposits of lumps of uric acid crystals in body tissues.
Gouty arthritis is typically an extremely painful attack with a rapid onset of joint inflammation. The joint inflammation is precipitated by deposits of uric acid crystals in the joint fluid (synovial fluid) and joint lining (synovial lining). Intense joint inflammation occurs as white blood cells engulf the uric acid crystals and chemical messengers of inflammation are released, causing pain, heat, and redness of the joint tissues.

Therefore, the ''trick'' in curing gout is to remove uric acid.
Drinking lots of ionized alkaline water every day is an important part of a natural remedy for gout..

Will any water do? Yes, but some kinds are better than others are. Hard water is better than soft water because it contains more minerals. So too does mineral water. Minerals help maintain the body pH at 7.0 or greater. What is pH? This is a measurement of the acid/alkaline balance of the body. A pH of 7.0 or higher means a more alkaline body; below 7.0 and its more acidic.

Foods do have a pH value which means that some foods make the body more alkaline and some more acidic.

Why is a higher pH desirable for gout sufferers? Because at a higher pH (i.e. the body is more alkaline) more uric acid is likely to be excreted too. This is the second reason why gout sufferers need to drink lots of alkaline water.

Khasiat Kacang Bendi (Lendir)

31.0 kCal tenaga, 90.5g air, 1.7g protein, 0.1g lemak, 5.9g karbohidrat, 1.0g serat, 0.8g abu, 77.0mg kalsium, 32.0mg Fosforus, 1.3mg zat besi, 30.0mg natrium, 80.0mg kalium, 200.0 mikrogram beta-karetena, 0.1mg vitamin B1, 0.2mg Vitamin B2, 0.7mg niasin, dan 19.3 mg.

Apa ditunggu lagi...

Saya sendiri suka celur kacang bendi dan cicah sambal cili ketika makan nasi.Nyaaaaaammai.

Don't you know?

Walking Fast a Sign of Longer Life

A newly-released study reveals that walking fast in your old age is a sign you will live a long life. The report in the Journal of the American Medical Association analyzed data from nine studies that involved 34,485 senior citizens. Participants in the research were regularly tested over a period of 21 years. The researchers looked at the relationship between walking speed in the over-65s and expected longevity. They concluded that the faster an older person can walk, the longer they can expect to live. Lead researcher Dr. Stephanie Studenski said: "It’s a real part of the human experience to see that when someone slows down with age, they may not be doing as well as they once were."

Cicak tokek mampu jadi penawar penyakit HIV/AIDS?
